RMI Facility RMAP Virtual Training Registration is Open!
The Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) is excited to announce a FREE Virtual training session for RMI facilities, focusing on the RMI's assurance standards. This virtual, interactive training will provide an in-depth examination of the RMAP standards, with deep dives on the RMAP Standard Requirements.
The training will cover a range of topics critical for facilities to understand for RMAP assessments, including the verification of upstream mechanism utilization and a comprehensive review of enhanced due diligence requirements. Additionally, the session will delve into on-the-ground expectations, ensuring facilities are well-prepared for assessments.
To make the most of this training, we strongly recommend that facilities review training modules available through the RMI eLearning Academy prior to attending. For login credentials to the FREE eLearning Academy, please contact the RMI Help Desk at helpdesk@responsiblebusiness.org.
This training is open to smelters and refiners new to the RMAP program preparing for your first RMAP assessment, as well as to the currently RMAP conformant smelters and refiners, preparing for your next assessment.

Online Training eLearning Academy
The Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) provides a free online eLearning Academy featuring course modules on minerals sourcing due diligence, minerals-specific risks in the supply chain, regulatory requirements, OECD Guidance and international best practices on responsible mineral sourcing, it also includes tutorials on the RMI tools and resources, as well as courses on the RMI's two assessment programs: the Responsible Minerals Assurance Process (RMAP) and the Downstream Audit Program (DAP). In-Person Training
The RMI holds in-person training for smelters and refiners and for assessors multiple times a year in multiple geographies. The RMI Members are welcome to attend RMI in-person training
These are half-day or one to two full-day sessions providing in-depth training on the RMI standards for assessors and assessees. RMI has held in-person trainings in China, EU, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, UAE, UK and USA, and we are always looking to expand in-person training to more geographies.
Webinars
These are 1-hour to 4-hour live webinars presented in English and Chinese. Recordings are available on the free RMI e-Learning Academy. Each webinar focuses on specific requirements of the revised standard and provides guidance for smelters and assessors on how to translate the revised requirements into practice.
Featured Topics
These are shorter topics that are covered by dedicated calls and mailings each month. These sessions provide a more in-depth discussion of key areas included in the revised standard. Featured topics include a variety of topics, for example: identifying CAHRAs; OECD 5-step process; risk identification systems; AML and sanction lists expectations and best practices, and Know Your Counterparty processes.
